All items listed above are required for your child's safety and comfort during the clinic. We understand that many families attending are new to soccer and may be hesitant to purchase equipment before knowing whether their child will enjoy the sport — but basic, entry-level gear is completely appropriate for beginners.
Our introductory environment is specifically designed for new and developing players, and we are confident that we can provide an engaging and enjoyable experience while introducing players to the game at realistic levels of difficulty.
The larger consideration for families should be whether the Nova FC schedule is something they can consistently commit to. The clinic is your opportunity to experience Nova FC before making that decision.
Basic entry-level cleats and shin guards are completely appropriate for beginners — there's no need for expensive equipment. These retailers offer affordable options with fast local pickup or delivery:
Nova FC does not sell equipment and is not affiliated with these retailers. We simply want to make it easy for new families to find what they need.
Nova FC clinics are recruitment and introduction opportunities designed to give new families an opportunity to experience our environment, meet our coaches, understand our approach to player development, and enter the Nova FC player pathway.
We understand that many children attending may be completely new to soccer. Players do NOT need previous playing experience to attend.
Our coaches gradually increase the demands placed on players based on age, experience, confidence, and ability.
The objective is not to determine whether a young child is already a great soccer player. We want players to enjoy the environment, begin learning the game correctly, and allow families to determine whether they can commit to the structure and schedule of the Nova FC program.
Nova FC is a player-development soccer organization built around providing young players with the right introduction to the game and clearly articulated opportunities to progress.
We believe player development should not be confusing. Families should understand where their child currently sits, what opportunities are available to them, and what they can work toward next.
Nova FC therefore creates attainable and articulated pathways for players at different developmental stages.
Our objective is not simply to provide isolated soccer sessions. We want players to enter an environment where they can continue developing as their ability, age, commitment, and ambitions evolve.
The clinic is just the beginning. Tap each stage to learn more about the journey from first session to competitive play.
The clinic is your first opportunity to experience our environment, meet our coaches, and understand our approach to player development. There's no pressure — just play, learn, and enjoy.
Players are introduced to the game through fun, play-based sessions aligned with how young players learn. The emphasis is on enjoyment, movement, and building a natural relationship with the ball. Coaches gradually introduce more structured activities as players develop confidence — starting with simple ball interaction and movement, then adding basic coordination exercises and group activities as each player becomes more comfortable. No experience needed.
Nova Foundations is still an intro program — just designed for older kids. Players continue to build their relationship with the ball in a fun, welcoming environment, with sessions that gradually introduce more structure as players grow in confidence. Coaches meet each player where they are, introducing basic ball control, movement, and small-sided game concepts at a pace that suits their age and comfort level. No experience needed. When a player is ready to progress beyond the intro level, coaches will recommend the next step based on readiness — not age alone.
Additional playing opportunities for players who want to enjoy the game in a structured but less competitive environment. Ideal for players who love soccer and want to continue developing without the pressure of competitive play. This program is upcoming and will be based on readiness.
High-frequency, structured training where players deepen their technical ability, sharpen decision-making, and develop real game understanding. Players build on the foundation established in Pre Academy and Foundations, with coaches introducing more complex tactical concepts, higher training demands, and increased intensity. Coaches recommend progression when the player is ready.
Players apply their technical foundation in external competitive environments — tournaments, friendlies, and structured matchday opportunities. The same coaching framework, with the addition of competitive game exposure for players who are ready. This program is upcoming and will be based on readiness.
THERE IS SOMEWHERE TO BEGIN —
AND SOMEWHERE TO PROGRESS.
Following the September clinic, Nova FC will be opening our October programming — the next opportunity for players to continue their journey with us.

Re-enroll anytime. When the 6 weeks is near concluding, you have the option to re-enroll in the next term — no long-term commitment required. We recommend re-enrolling each term, as consistency in training is key to steady development and building confidence on the ball.
Every family has options after the clinic. Select your child's age group to see the journey.
Currently: Pre Academy
Your child stays within our intro environment and moves to Nova Foundations when they age out of Pre Academy.
When your child ages out of Pre Academy, they automatically move into the Nova Foundations group (Ages 6–11) — still an intro program, just designed for older kids. This progression is based on age — it has nothing to do with development or readiness. Once in Nova Foundations, decisions to progress further are based on readiness.

The Nova FC Adidas kit includes a navy jersey, white shorts, and navy socks — featuring the Nova FC crest and Adidas AEROREADY technology.
The kit is yours to keep. A one-time $50 gear fee applies at registration — you only pay it once, not every term.
Reminder: If you haven't already, please complete the Attendance Confirmation & Waiver before arriving at the clinic. Players cannot participate without it.
