Arrive by 5:45 PM

Attendance confirmation and waiver completion are mandatory. Players cannot participate without these being completed.

Step by Step

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD
EXPECT?

Tap each step to expand the details.

Arrive by 5:45 PM.

Families who registered for the clinic should have received a QR code when registering and purchasing their clinic event ticket.

Upon arrival, a Nova FC representative will scan the QR code to record attendance.

Parents should not worry if they are unsure how the QR check-in process works. Our representatives will help families navigate check-in upon arrival.

The most important requirement is that the Attendance Confirmation & Waiver has already been completed.

Players will be organized into groups based on age and developmental level — not solely by age. This ensures every child trains in an environment that matches their current ability, confidence, and understanding of the game.

Our coaches assess each player's comfort with the ball, their movement patterns, and their social comfort within the group. This allows us to create training environments where no child feels overwhelmed or under-challenged — every player gets the right level of support and challenge for their stage of development.

Players begin with dynamic movements and ball familiarity exercises designed to get them comfortable with the environment, the coaches, and the equipment.

Our warm-up introduces fundamental movement patterns — coordination, balance, agility, and spatial awareness — that form the foundation of all soccer activity. Players are encouraged to explore the ball at their own pace, with coaches guiding and encouraging every touch.

For many young players, this is their first structured soccer experience, so we keep it playful, positive, and pressure-free.

Age-appropriate activities focus on the core technical skills every player needs: ball mastery, dribbling, passing and receiving, and first touch.

Sessions are built around game-based activities that emphasize engagement, movement, and decision-making. Younger players (Ages 3-5) work primarily on individual ball interaction — dribbling, stopping, changing direction, and building a comfortable relationship with the ball. Older players (Ages 6-11) begin to explore passing, receiving, and spatial awareness, introducing the concept of playing with others rather than just alongside them.

Every activity is designed to build confidence and enjoyment, not to test or pressure players.

As players grow more comfortable, coaches gradually introduce more complex activities — adding defenders, reducing space and time, increasing tempo, and raising the decision-making demands.

This is what we call gradual progression: meeting players where they are and stretching them just enough to keep them engaged and learning. We never rush a player beyond what they can handle. The goal is to build confidence through success, then gently push the boundary of that confidence so players continue growing without feeling overwhelmed.

Where age and group structure allow, players experience small-sided games — 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 formats.

These game-like activities give players the opportunity to apply their skills in a realistic context: making decisions in real time, with and without the ball, under gentle pressure from opponents. Small-sided play maximizes touches, involvement, and enjoyment, giving every player the chance to experience the game in a meaningful way.

For younger players, the focus is on involvement and fun. For older players, we begin to introduce basic tactical concepts — spacing, support, and transition.

Following the clinic, families receive information about the most appropriate Nova FC pathway for their child.

Our coaches will share observations and recommendations based on what they saw during the session. Families will have the opportunity to learn about our upcoming programs — including our next 6-week term beginning October 2nd — and decide whether Nova FC is the right fit for their child's soccer journey.

All items listed above are required for your child's safety and comfort during the clinic. We understand that many families attending are new to soccer and may be hesitant to purchase equipment before knowing whether their child will enjoy the sport — but basic, entry-level gear is completely appropriate for beginners.

Our introductory environment is specifically designed for new and developing players, and we are confident that we can provide an engaging and enjoyable experience while introducing players to the game at realistic levels of difficulty.

The larger consideration for families should be whether the Nova FC schedule is something they can consistently commit to. The clinic is your opportunity to experience Nova FC before making that decision.

NEED EQUIPMENT?

Basic entry-level cleats and shin guards are completely appropriate for beginners — there's no need for expensive equipment. These retailers offer affordable options with fast local pickup or delivery:

Nova FC does not sell equipment and is not affiliated with these retailers. We simply want to make it easy for new families to find what they need.

Our Purpose

WHY DOES NOVA FC
HOST CLINICS?

RECRUITMENT & INTRODUCTION

Nova FC clinics are recruitment and introduction opportunities designed to give new families an opportunity to experience our environment, meet our coaches, understand our approach to player development, and enter the Nova FC player pathway.

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED

We understand that many children attending may be completely new to soccer. Players do NOT need previous playing experience to attend.

GRADUAL PROGRESSION

Our coaches gradually increase the demands placed on players based on age, experience, confidence, and ability.

ENJOYMENT FIRST

The objective is not to determine whether a young child is already a great soccer player. We want players to enjoy the environment, begin learning the game correctly, and allow families to determine whether they can commit to the structure and schedule of the Nova FC program.

About Us

WHO IS
NOVA FC?

Nova FC is a player-development soccer organization built around providing young players with the right introduction to the game and clearly articulated opportunities to progress.

We believe player development should not be confusing. Families should understand where their child currently sits, what opportunities are available to them, and what they can work toward next.

Nova FC therefore creates attainable and articulated pathways for players at different developmental stages.

Our objective is not simply to provide isolated soccer sessions. We want players to enter an environment where they can continue developing as their ability, age, commitment, and ambitions evolve.

The Journey

NOVA PLAYER
PATHWAY

The clinic is just the beginning. Tap each stage to learn more about the journey from first session to competitive play.

The clinic is your first opportunity to experience our environment, meet our coaches, and understand our approach to player development. There's no pressure — just play, learn, and enjoy.

Players are introduced to the game through fun, play-based sessions aligned with how young players learn. The emphasis is on enjoyment, movement, and building a natural relationship with the ball. Coaches gradually introduce more structured activities as players develop confidence — starting with simple ball interaction and movement, then adding basic coordination exercises and group activities as each player becomes more comfortable. No experience needed.

Technical development becomes the focus. Sessions are built around ball mastery, movement, and decision-making. Players are introduced to passing, receiving, and small-sided game concepts. Coaches gradually increase the technical demands — starting with individual ball control and dribbling, then introducing passing combinations, spatial awareness, and decision-making within game contexts as players develop their confidence and ability. No experience needed.

High-frequency, structured training where players deepen their technical ability, sharpen decision-making, and develop real game understanding. Players build on the foundation established in Pre Academy and Foundations, with coaches introducing more complex tactical concepts, higher training demands, and increased intensity. Coaches recommend progression when the player is ready.

Additional playing opportunities for players who want to enjoy the game in a structured but less competitive environment. Ideal for players who love soccer and want to continue developing without the pressure of competitive play. This program is upcoming and will be based on readiness.

Players apply their technical foundation in external competitive environments — tournaments, friendlies, and structured matchday opportunities. The same coaching framework, with the addition of competitive game exposure for players who are ready. This program is upcoming and will be based on readiness.

THERE IS SOMEWHERE TO BEGIN —
AND SOMEWHERE TO PROGRESS.
